HMRC is currently in the process of contacting companies to confirm if they still require an XI EORI number, you may have already received a letter.
When the UK left the EU many companies applied for this in order to continue trading with Northern Ireland. However in many cases it’s not required and HMRC want to remove any that are not needed.
It may be that no action is needed on your part, but if you still require the registration then HMRC will need to be notified.
