Shipping cost are rising due to a continuous Red Sea crisis

Due to the current situation in the Suez Canal and Red Sea, shipping lines are avoiding this area and using alternative shipping route around Cape of Good Hope. These measures are essential for the safety of crews and vessels.
As of a result of this, diversions will inevitably lead to delays in schedules, ranging from 2 to 4 weeks, also adding around 14 days to the transit times.

Over the past couple of days, we have seen the shipping lines introduce surcharges for various trade lanes, as well as insurance and fuel costs have gone up adding to the overall shipping costs. Currently the costs for a container have trebled and are expected to rise further.

We are monitoring this situation closely and will keep you informed on any further developments or any changes as soon as possible.
